Jessica Burfield, MFT (she/hers)
I am passionate about supporting adults and parents as they juggle all that life throws their way.
My approach is collaborative and grounded in understanding, compassion, authenticity, and humor. Together, we’ll work toward your goals in a way that feels right for you, while I offer strategies and guidance from evidence-based approaches.
I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy, Gottman Method, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Interventions, Polyvagal Theory, and EMDR. This allows me to tailor my approach to meet your unique needs.
When working with couples, I use research-informed techniques to help deepen emotional connections, improve communication, and navigate conflict with understanding and grace. Whether it’s building intimacy or strengthening resilience, my goal is to help you and your partner create a fulfilling and lasting relationship.
I also work with individuals facing personal struggles, including perinatal mental health concerns. As a trained birth and postpartum doula, I bring a unique perspective to my work with individuals and couples during this period of life. My focus is on helping you find healing, self-awareness, and a deeper connection to your values so you can live a more meaningful life.
With training in EMDR, I also support people in processing past traumas, anxieties, or distressing experiences. EMDR helps unlock your natural capacity for healing, leading to emotional resilience and growth.
My goal is to create a warm, empathetic space where you feel safe and supported throughout your journey toward well-being.
