We offer individual and family counseling for children and adolescents of all ages.
We understand the complexities of raising children and navigating the challenges families face today. Our Child & Family Therapy services are designed to strengthen connections, promote healthy communication, and help children overcome emotional and developmental challenges.
Our therapists use a strength-based approach to provide a safe environment where children, parents, and families can explore their emotions, work through challenges, and develop the tools they need to thrive.
Whether your child is struggling with behavioral concerns, anxiety, school-related difficulties, or trauma, we’re here to guide you with compassion, experience, and evidence-based solutions.
Here are a few things we can address together in child and family therapy
Our Approach
We take a integrative and collaborative approach to therapy, utilizing a number of evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT), Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and EMDR to promote emotional resilience and secure relationships. Our child therapists are highly experienced in treating a variety of concerns.
You’ll find that our child sessions are fun, interactive, and engaging. We use child-centered play and creativity to help children express their emotions in a way that feels safe and supportive. We focus on attunement, co-regulation, and fostering empathy in caregiver-child relationships.
Is your child reluctant to participate in therapy? Or, are you unsure about whether not therapy is the best approach for your child/family?
We offer free 15 minute phone consults to answer your questions and pair you with a therapist who can be a good match for your situation. Our therapists are all skilled at developing rapport with children and use creative strategies to support children with opening up and engaging in the therapy process. We are approachable, playful, and highly experienced in supporting children and families.
At Kind Therapy, we’re committed to helping your family grow together, heal together, and thrive. Whether you’re facing trauma, school difficulties, or emotional challenges, we’re here to support your journey toward a stronger, healthier family.
Specialized Trauma Support
At Kind Therapy, we specialize in helping children heal from trauma, whether it’s from early childhood experiences, family disruptions, or other adverse events. Our trauma-informed approach ensures that children feel safe and supported as they process their experiences and work towards healing.
Play-Based Therapy for Children
Our therapists use child-centered play techniques to help your child feel understood, empowered, and capable of working through their challenges. We tailor our therapeutic approach to your child’s unique needs, meeting them where they are.
Family-Centered Support
We are here for the whole family, especially caregivers. Caregivers are a critical part of the change process for addressing childhood concerns, and we will collaborate with you to reach your family’s goals.
We know that a child’s well-being is closely tied to the family dynamic. We offer family therapy sessions to provide a space for caregivers and children to openly communicate and develop new ways of supporting one another. We are here to be a guide and support your family’s unique journey.
